Europe's Avon tyres has been the sole supplier to Rolls Royce and Bentley
for 69 years, as well as supplier to Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Alfa
Romeo, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari and Rover. Why? Because Avon Tyres perform
just as well as rival tyres, yet give the softest ride. Avon tyres are

Secrets of the soft ride
Most low profile tyres give a hard ride. So how does Avon create a noticeably
softer "Rolls Royce" ride?
(1) Avon leads the way in Monopoly technology which gives the tyre more
flex.
(2) Rather than the usual Polyester cord used in sidewall construction,
Avon uses Rayon cord as it is just as strong yet adheres better to rubber
achieving less mass weight.
(3) The unique reverse twist in the Rayon cord gives better compression.
(4) Although Rayon cord is extremely expensive it gives a softer ride.
More silica. More grip. More mileage.
You benefit from the lessons learned from Avon's 50 years of motor racing
experience. For example, the extra silica (15% more than the next best
rival tyre) glues you to the road, especially in the wet. Reinforced tread
shoulders mean a flatter footprint and better grip. The tread is designed
from the best in the industry and then improved. The two liners inside
the tyres, instead of the usual one, ensure air never gets into the tyre
allowing more mileage and avoiding the common problems of irregular wear
and tyre failure in later life.
